Privacy policy
NY Opening Signal is an independent commercial research service. This policy explains the limited personal information we receive when people contact us, request a sample, purchase a pilot, or use the service.
Information we receive
We may receive business contact information you provide directly, including your name, company, work email, telephone number, service category, territory, and message content. If you become a customer, we may also retain configuration preferences, delivery history, support correspondence, and feedback about delivered records.
Payment information is processed by our payment provider. We do not intend to store complete card or bank-account numbers on this website or in our operating systems.
How we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, prepare requested samples, configure and deliver the service, administer billing, provide support, improve screening quality, prevent misuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Public licensing data
The product uses public business and licensing records, including records published by the New York State Liquor Authority through New York Open Data. Those commercial signals may contain business names, legal applicant names, addresses, application identifiers, categories, dates, and statuses. We use them for business research and do not append scraped personal contact details to the core service.
Sharing
We do not sell customer contact information. We may use service providers that support email, hosting, data processing, payment processing, and business operations. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or security, or complete a business transfer.
Cookies and analytics
The website does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels for behavioural advertising. Cloudflare, our hosting and security provider, may process basic request and performance data, including IP address, user agent, requested page, and timestamp, to provide security, reliability, and privacy-focused site analytics.
Retention and security
We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes above, dispute handling, legal compliance, and legitimate business records. We use access controls and security measures appropriate to the information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask us to correct or delete contact information we control, subject to legal and operational retention requirements. You may opt out of marketing email at any time by replying with “unsubscribe” or contacting us.
